1. The following commands resolved it for me.

   flutter clean
   flutter pub upgrade
   

   Well, I think the important one is flutter pub upgrade here. But cleaning does help especially when plugins are updated.

   In this case, it was a dependency of url_launcher. In general you can use flutter pub outdated to see if you have some outdated dependencies. You will see a message like

   3 upgradable dependencies are locked (in pubspec.lock) to older versions.
   To update these dependencies, use `pub upgrade`
   

   That’s when you know for sure you need to run flutter pub upgrade.

2. This is not fixed. The url_launcher_platform_interface dependency is still wrong as described in the comment I linked to above

3. url_launcher: ^5.5.2 should mitigate this issue. I’m closing this; please feel free to reopen if you’re still having issues!
