  1. I’m using it currently like this:

    const webpack = require('webpack');
    const webpackConfig = require('../tasks/webpack-build-config');
    const webpackCompiler = webpack(webpackConfig);
    const ProgressPlugin = require('webpack/lib/ProgressPlugin');

    webpackCompiler.apply(new ProgressPlugin({
      profile: true
    }));

  2. Yep. My pull request with default handler was merged.

    Your config could be even simpler:

    const webpack = require('webpack');
    const webpackConfig = require('../tasks/webpack-build-config');
    const webpackCompiler = webpack(webpackConfig);

    webpackCompiler.apply(new webpack.ProgressPlugin({
      profile: true
    }));
