- We have the license text twice:
|version|in multiple places. It says specifically “License agreement for matplotlib |version|”.
LICENSE/LICENSEonly states “License agreement for matplotlib versions 1.3.0 and later”
IMO we should only have one license text.
- We have extensive coverage for pre-1.3.0 copyright and license in https://matplotlib.org/stable/users/license.html. Do we have to provide that information at all? If we have to, would it be sufficient to “For copyright and license of matplotlib prior to version 1.3.0 see https://matplotlib.org/1.3.0/users/license.html“.
